This fascinating exhibit features twenty mixed-media abstractions on cold press watercolor paper.  Mediums include transparent layers of oil paint, watercolor, and graphite.  The resulting paintings are vibrant, full of energy and possess a character all their own.  Exhibit runs through September 24. Wine and hors d’oeuvres served. Free.

Youth Arts Institute Art Gallery Opening and Performance Showcase

Join us as we celebrate the amazing work of Youth Arts Institute students age 5-17!  Street dance, choreodrama, music, spoken word, theatre and over 150 pieces of student artwork! Let’s pack the house and support the hard work and talents of these amazing young Hartford artists as well as our eight Youth Arts Institute community partner locations: Burr School, Kennelly School, Batchelder School, Naylor School, Betances School, Parkville School, Dwight School and Community Renewal Team. Exhibit runs through June 25.  Beverages and snacks served.  Free.
