Charter Oak Cultural Center will host “Healing the Rift: An Election Eve Vigil for the Well-Being of the Nation” on Monday, November 7 at 7 p.m. It is a free community event.
The evening will feature brief readings of inspirational text and space for personal reflection. Regardless of what election-year issues that bring you to the event – concern about gun violence, terrorism, gender injustice, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, racism – “Healing the Rift” will offer a safe, reflective space to consider our connectedness and participate in community.
“We want to offer participants an opportunity to reflect both individually and with community on the issues that are troubling our community, our nation and our world,” Cody Daigle-Orians, Charter Oak’s programming coordinator, said. “But we also believe it’s important to offer people ways to act.”
‘Healing the Rift” will take place at Charter Oak Cultural Center on Monday, November 7 at 7 p.m. The event is free. All are welcome to attend.
