Our yearly commemoration event of Kristallnacht brings the community together with local artists to mark “The Night of Broken Glass.” This multi-faith event is a meditation on the horrors of war and a call for peace. Kindly bring a donation of used or new eyeglasses in the spirit of broadening perspectives and sharing your vision for a better world.
This event is part of the 13th Annual Celebration of Jewish Arts and Culture, our yearly exploration of the historical and contemporary expressions of Jewish identity in art. This year, we are honored to welcome Mayor of Hartford, Luke Bronin, and Holocaust survivor Margot Jeremias.
This event is free and open to the public, and begins with a community meal at 6 P.M. The commemoration begins at 7 P.M.
